About Us
The Scotland County Humane Society is a non-profit organization which depends on donations to remain solvent. We are dedicated to the stewardship of abandoned, lost, abused, impounded and surrendered animals in our community. One of our most important goals is to find our animals a happy, permanent home, through local adoptions or rescues. Each dog and cat in our care is provided a healthy, clean, safe and warm place to stay while they await their adoption.

Our Mission

We believe the only long-term solution to the overpopulation of dogs and cats is for EVERYONE to spay and neuter their animals, without exception.
